The professional association ”The Mediators’ College” was set up in 2009 as a result of the initiative of nine authorized mediators, in order to better represent their professional interests and to promote the idea of mediation in different environments. The values in which we believe and which represent the foundation of the College’s activity are:
professionalism
exigency
dynamism
The measu
res we apply in in support of the MC mediators’ interests are:
An active partnership with the Mediation Council (the official regulatory body for the field of mediation)
Continuous training for the members
Organization of events to promote mediation at national/county level
Raising resources for pilot projects involving the members
We would like this professional association:
- to be an open organization, with
Modern leadership
Team spirit
Transparency
Project-based management
- to allow a high autonomy to its subsidiaries
- to be recognized internationally
Why choose the Mediators’ College
- Collegial spirit comes first
Founding members do not have additional rights as against the other members of the college
the College is lead by a chairman having only a two-year mandate, without the right to run for reelection. In branches, the chairman’s term in office should be of one year without the right to run for reelection.
- the integrity and prestige of the members guarantee the quality of the association as a whole
- the College reunites both members who started their mediation activity as early as 1996 (Anca Ciuca, Adrian Badila, Silviu Erusencu), and newly authorized members
- The College’s active members include former and current members of the Mediation Council (Anca Ciuca and Arin Avramescu)
- Consensus is built according to the conflict resolution theory.
