June 1st was a dream day for Romanian children during Communist times โ€” not because of the parades where kids were used as propaganda tools for Ceauศ™escu's regime, but because of something far more powerful: parental love. โค๏ธ
And here's what made it even more special โ€” it wasn't even a national holiday. It was a regular working day. Parents went to work, children went to school, and yet somehow, families still found a way to make it magical. โœจ
In a country where daily life meant shortages, grey skies and little joy, they took their children to cafeterias, circuses ๐ŸŽช and amusement parks ๐ŸŽก โ€” small gestures that meant the world.
A slice of cake ๐Ÿฐ, some sweets ๐Ÿฌ, or a simple toy ๐Ÿงธ were not just gifts. They were acts of quiet resistance โ€” a family's way of saying "today, we choose happiness over hardship."
๐ŸงธThese moments, small yet profound, are the ones Romanians still carry in their hearts today.

โœจBack in 1979, Dacia state factory printed a bold promise on glossy paper: safety and reliability, comfort and elegance, economical and dynamic. 56 horsepower. Top speed of 140 km/h. Fuel consumption of just 5.3L/100km on the highway. In radiant green, no less. Ambitious claims for a communist-era car built behind the Iron Curtain. But who are we to judge a brochure? Let's let Malvina speak for herself.
โœจMeet Malvina โ€” a genuine 1984 Dacia 1310, the younger sister of the car in this very ad. Still running. Still opinionated. And the star of the only tour in the world where you actually get behind the wheel of a Dacia and drive it through Bucharest. No museum glass. No roped-off barriers.
โœจJust you, Malvina, and 40 years of unverified advertising claims waiting to be tested on real streets. Does she handle with elegance? Is she economical? Is that steering wheel as confidence-inspiring as it looks? You decide.
โœจWe know that Malvina hasn't changed since '84. Neither has the ad.

De Gaulle decorated him with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, the highest distinction of the French state. Anti-Sovietism and the political path of non-alignment with the United States but also the deal for the production of Dacia cars in Romania under the Renault license, signed in 1966 by de Gaulle's personal care, brought the 2 closer. >
With all of de Gaulle's anti-Sovietism and anti-Americanism, it is worth noting that the official visit took place with a car coming from a country that neither of them sympathized with. Hear the story of Romanians at the RedPatrol Tour with Dacia! Credits : Agerpres
