he most important international light festivals come together in a unique visual competition, where monumental architecture is transformed into immersive storytelling. The audience will witness a spectacular synergy between technology and art, unfolding across the 23,000-square-meter façade of the Palace of the Parliament. This year, iMapp Bucharest marks a special milestone: its 10th anniversary edition, under a powerful and timely theme: ART IS ALL AROUND, celebrating the omnipresence of art in our lives - from the city’s architecture to the charm of projections, from pixels to emotions. The artists will transform the façade of the Parliament building into a captivating visual experience of shapes, colours and textures, drawn from everyday life, reminding us that art is not confined to museums - it lives in public spaces, in communities, in architecture, in urban hustle and in human expression. This anniversary edition marks a decade in which Bucharest has established itself as a global reference point for New Media Art. Ten years of innovation, international collaboration and unforgettable experiences have transformed the city into a capital of creativity and light. 10 editions of enjoying art together, 1 city, infinite stories and millions of Bucharest residents and tourists who were part of the spectacle. Saturday, 20th of September, 2025, between 4 PM and 11 PM, iMapp Bucharest will showcase the most outstanding and talented artists in the field - the winners of its seven partner festivals - Chongqing International Light Art Festival (CHINA), Genius Loci Weimar Festival (GERMANY), Jakarta Light Festival (INDONESIA), LUMA Projection Arts Festival (USA), 1minute Projection Mapping Competition (JAPAN), Video Mapping Festival (FRANCE) and Zsolnay Light Festival (HUNGARY). At the end of the evening, a jury composed of international experts will select the Grand Winner of the 2025 edition, awarding the Jury Prize. Meanwhile, the audience is invited to be part of the competition by voting for their favorite work during the event night, deciding the winner of the Public Choice Award. The atmosphere in Constitutiei Square will be energized by DJ sets. iMapp Bucharest once again reaffirms its commitment to promoting art and cultural education. This year’s edition will honour two Romanian artists from the world cultural heritage, whose works have transcended the boundaries of time and space, inspiring generations and shaping Romania’s identity on the global stage.
