Melodie is a producer and live act from Romania and a key figure on the international Techno / Minimal / Electro scene. Early in his career, Resident Advisor published an exclusive editorial about him, stating that “he’s released two records of a quality far beyond most emerging producers, stripped down and full of personality”; his tracks were also featured in their yearly TOP 50 Tracks charts. Made this track with more than a year ago.
We started this track at 122BPM and we recorded some vocals for it.
I usually finish a track the same day I start it, but when I don't, it can be 2 days or 2 years until its done. Thing is I don't think of it, I really don't care about how much time has passed, if I don't feel like doing it I won't.
After a few months I got back to it but now my mood was different and I wanted to take it to 135BPM 😁
Now when you do this most of the sounds will go up in pitch, for this tempo change it was just a bit over one semitone, or a whole tone, don't remember.
Now the key changes and you can add new sounds in the new key.
The vocals though, they sounded too high and thin so I was left to use only what I used here.
