If you want to step in a nice bookstore to get a quick fix with a ton of English titles and some artbooks, is right in the middle of Bucharest waiting for you to come visit. They have a cat named Mozzarella and we have some books on their shelves. The shop has a history in the scene by different names, but under the same ownership - ask inside.

“CHIPS” by Andrei Șerban is the product of two contrasting worlds meeting in a Paris apartment, a personal project that spanned across 3 years and launched a twin publication - one part photobook, one part diary.

“BOB in Tara Tuturor” by Paul Țanicui is a Christmas story in 14 chapters, fit for children but also recommended to adults. A fantastic novel about leaving things that are not for you anymore, it teaches you how to cut ties and make new ones.

“Viața Pietrelor Alunescoase” by Letiția Despina is a stormy love story where we find out what would happen if Nordic caution met Balkanic restlessness. A detailed scan of bonding and drifting apart, negotiating the optimal distance at which people can live together.

“The Globus Effect” by Vladimir Gugu describes a peculiar quality of time
over the span of his six short stories: obsession over common objects deemed precious and self-assigned missions that need to be completed. Reality cracks at some point, and fantasy creeps in through assumption, imagination, or paranoia.

“ARSENAL” is a poetry and photography magazine. This issue tackles loneliness and nuances of solitude ranging from feeling alone in a couple to enjoying your own company, or coping with complete isolation. A 48 page manifesto about being all by yourself.

“Măiastra: A History of Romanian Sculpture in Twenty-Four Parts“ by Igor Gyalakuthy, a retired art historian and widower, who is crafting a treatise on the plastic art of his homeland before time and the ravages of mental illness take him.

Traffic Lights is the first installment of an artbook fair that starts small in order to map the local publishing scene and connect it to a curious readership. Drop by next weekend to see for yourself.

Dacă ai trecut vreodată prin Piața Obor și ai văzut o librărie care nu arată ca o librărie oarecare, ci ca o librărie-frizerie-galerie, cu producții mici și artefacte pe hârtie, atunci ai trecut pe lângă Paper Traffic, proiectul editorial pe care Vlad Mihai l-a ridicat în doar trei ani, cu 16 titluri deja în palmares.

Proză, poezie, ghid de avioane de hârtie, carte de bucate, albume foto, totul în tiraje mici și cu obsesia detaliului de obiect.

În plus, Vlad este omul care a semnat identitatea vizuală pentru Noaptea Albă a Galeriilor - NAG și pentru 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE: What happens in you stays in me. Dacă ai simțit vreodată că un afiș de prin oraș vorbește pe limba ta, sunt ceva șanse să fie făcut de el.
