Sneak peeks from our upcoming show.
At a time when most of the world’s attention is switched over to a sports competition (the 2026 FIFA World Cup) we suggest a reflection on resonance and resilience.

While our first show of the /SAC @ MINCU GALLERY curatorial programme explored Rhythmic Stress as an “out-into-the-world” release of personal and individual flows and breathing, the second exhibition proposes a smooth sequel toward group mechanics and collective effort. How we breathe segues into how we coordinate our movements in order to produce and understand common shapes, spaces, rhythms, and rules, collectively.

Thanks to everyone who took their time to join us at the opening of “Free Fall into a Standing Position”, a solo show by Ovidiu Toader and curated by Lolea Anne-Marie.

The current display at Cărturesti Carusel marks the first appearance of “Free Fall into a Standing Position” illustrating the initial stage of the freefall dancinc move, as described by the choreographer Doris Humphrey: the abandonment of weight and the experience of descent. The work is envisioned as part of a broader sequence that unfolds through movement. Future presentations will reveal the second phase implied by the title: the transition intc a standing position. In this phase, the energy released during the fall will carry the star’s body upward, returning it to an upright position through a continuous circle of motion and energy.

The exhition can be visited everyday at Carturesti Carusel from 10AM to 10PM.

Saturday, June 13th, from 4 PM to 8 PM, we would like to invite you to /SAC BERTHELOT 5 for „Cinema Rhythmic Stress”.

„The curatorial intention behind the screening program “Rhythmic Stress Cinema” is to re-present and re-contextualize, through a “zoom-in,” a selection of video works from the exhibitions “Rhythmic Stress / Tensiuni în ritm” (/SAC @ UAUIM and /SAC Berthelot). This approach experiments with the contrast between different spatial arrangements: the transition from the simultaneous perception of the works in the exhibition space (the co-presence/co-perception of these time-based works all at once here-and-now in a zoom-out pirouette), to the focused cinematic perspective, which imposes a linear temporal progression of the video material, a viewing guided by the flow of time.” - Alex Radu
