Adrenal fatigue is one of the major reasons we feel exhausted, despite taking thyroid medications. đ¤
đ With optimal adrenal function, in the morning, cortisol spikes, giving you a natural jolt to get you out of bed. Those in advanced stages of adrenal fatigue, however, wonât make enough cortisol in the morning, and may find themselves having difficulty with getting up in the morning and sustaining good energy throughout the day.
â° A common pattern I often see is âthe afternoon personâ, or someone who struggles in the morning and in the evening and has just a few good hours in the afternoon; or the âtired night owlâ, a person who feels tired most of the day then gets a second wind at bedtime when the dayâs cortisol is released.

Having hot lemon water first thing in the morning is a great substitute for caffeine and helps to provide relief from fatigue.
