At Cinema Bucharest, the ground floor is reorganized as the main public level of the building. The former cinema hall is adapted into a flexible event space for film screenings, festivals, conferences, galas, theatre performances and concerts.

The existing sloped floor is reconfigured to support multiple uses, while the stage is upgraded through mobile elements and technical connections to the lower levels. The result is a multifunctional cultural space with a capacity of approximately 400 users.

The second Valea Doftanei holiday house follows the same spatial hierarchy, structured through a clear separation between day and night areas. The house is composed of two distinct volumes: one dedicated to the shared living spaces, the other to the private rooms.

In the second volume, the bedrooms are organised on the ground floor and attic level, using the upper floor for increased privacy and for the views opened by the height of the roof.

Emanuel Vișan, Managing Partner at Quadratum Architecture, joined the Leadership and Change Management panel at the Construction Forum 2026, addressing unpredictability in the construction industry from the perspective of project design.

He emphasized that while legislative changes generate part of this uncertainty, most difficulties come from incomplete field data at the start of a project, making clear information, responsible leadership and structured decision-making essential from the beginning.
