Alright, okay. Haven’t posted in a while.

However!

After months (if not years) of procrastination, I've finally updated my portfolio with some of my current projects. More are still in the oven and baking as we speak!

It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. As a perfectionist, it’s damn hard to accept that it's not perfect, but it will never be.

I have to say this loud: I AM AN EXPERT!

Okay, maybe it was a bit too much but boy it feels good to say it. Two years ago I found a tool which helped me grow and create. As a creative, I use tools constantly. From the good old Photoshop that I first opened in 6th grade to Figma which helps me today to visualize websites in real time.

But the tool that makes websites a reality is Webflow. A place where my designs and solutions can manifest. In these two years this tool helped me bring real progress to businesses small and large. A tool that I am excited to be an expert in.

So from today, I can say that I am not only a Photographer and a Graphic designer. I am a Webflow Expert.

I think I made a mistake with my domain a few years ago. Let me explain.

I bought my old domain dascalv.com, 2 years ago. I just wanted to have a domain that works….for now….I didn’t realize choosing a domain is just as important as Logo Design. You have to choose one that lasts for years to come. Alas, my old domain was:

- Complicated
- Didn't make any sense
- Google isn’t promoting it

Here is the thing, some people stockpile domains that we may never use, others buy them when they need them.

Whichever is your preferred method of managing domains, there are a few things that you should keep in mind when choosing a domain name. These are my recommendations:

• Length: Is your domain name short, average, or long?
• Memorability: Does your domain name have qualities that make it easy to remember, like rhyme and alliteration?
• Complexity: Is your domain name easy to pronounce and type? Does it have a word that can easily be misspelt or confused for another word?

All of these are criteria by which Google and other search engines rate your domain name.
