The GO ROBOT programme was launched by Maersk Oil Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar to encourage the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). GO ROBOT is focused on helping in three ways:
- Teachers’ professional development, through robotics training and conferences to improve the classroom environment and teaching methods
- Student learning and robo

We officially announced on October 10 that the World Robot Olympiad 2015 would be held in for the first time. The day is almost here - tomorrow the WRO will start, thanks to the partnership between Maersk Oil Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar, the Supreme Education Council of Qatar and Qatar Petroleum. As a high point of our programme, hosting this unique and prestigious competition is helping to continue boosting Qatar's potential through inspiring enthusiasm among students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, both in Qatar and around the world.
أعلنا رسمياً في 10 أكتوبر ٢٠١٣ عن استضافة دولة قطر لأولمبياد الروبوت العالمي تحت رعاية ميرسك قطر للبترول وكلية شمال الأطلنطي في قطر بالتعاون مع المجلس الأعلى للتعليم وقطر للبترول. وتمثل استضافتنا لهذا الحدث المرموق خير تتويج لبرنامج جو روبوت وتسهم في تحقيق رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 من خلال حماس الطلاب وزيادة اهتمامهم بدراسة مواد العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات.
