In a recent update, Qatar Museums has announced the postponement of the Design Doha Biennial 2026. Originally scheduled in April, the event will now open from 5 to 7 November 2026, with exhibitions continuing until 31 December 2026.

The decision, taken in light of the evolving situation in the region, reflects a measured shift rather than a change in intent.

Design Doha Biennial 2026 remains positioned as a platform for designers, artisans, and creative practitioners across the MENASA region.

Qatar Museums emphasised its continued commitment to the participants involved, noting that the postponement allows the biennial to unfold as originally envisioned—a gathering centred on exchange, visibility, and regional dialogue.
