We would like to inform you that there will be periodic maintenance work in the Mall of Qatar Tunnel, starting from the night of July 18 until the morning of July 22, 2024, and the tunnel will be partially closed at night throughout these days including the road leading to Al Luqta Street and the associated road exiting from Mall of Qatar Parking.

A kitten rescued in Ras Abouaboud Tunnel by GBDG's Incident Support Unit.
During patrolling, one of the ISU operators heard a sound of kitten scream in the tunnel. Upon closer inspection it was revealed that the scared kitten sought refuge beneath the small opening in the concrete barrier at the corner of tunnel road. The ISU operator trained by Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS) had taken effective steps to rescue the kitten safely and it was taken to nearby residential area away from tunnel to make sure she gets all the love and care she deserves.
