We are partners with DOCUDOJO (www.docudojo.film), the new International Seminar for Documentary Filmmaking with an autonomous and independent attitude to creation, theory and practice complement each other until we reach a 10–20 minute documentary short in 7 weeks. This alternative and international seminar, held in English and online, consists of seven Masterclasses from February 22 to April 5 (on Saturdays), open to anyone, with or without experience, from any country.
Critic JUSTINE PERES SMITH Justine Peres Smith lays the foundational stones. The remarkable LYNNE SACHS Lynne Sachs explores script development and working methods. The incredible ADRIAN MARTIN Adrian Martin delves into contemporary approaches to conceptualization. Brazilian teacher VICTOR GUIMARÃES Victor Guimaraes maps his constellation in ethnographic and anthropological film. The cinephile-extraordinaire MUSTAFA UZUNER Mustafa Uzuner brings “unofficial masterpieces” of Documentary. And the experimental MEHDI JAHAN Mehdi Jahan presents variations on Montage Theories. Throughout this journey, participants will create their own films independently, with constant technical support from the brilliant editor/filmmaker RAUL DOMINGUES Raul Domingues. I coordinate, and in the end, I'll join in for a commented screening of the completed films. Join us and spread the word!
