One giant leap towards less bureaucracy! 👏👏

Portugal will soon automatically issue a Social Security Number (NISS) to immigrants who complete their AIMA appointment. Previously, applicants had to apply for a NISS separately, which often led to extra paperwork and people not paying into the Social Security system in a timely manner. 😮

The new system links AIMA with Social Security to streamline the process, although applicants must still attend their appointment with all the required documents. This change is expected to make immigration procedures faster and more efficient. 🏎️
