Today we welcome Egi - Gestão de Resíduos, the newest member of the Kigreen family!
EGI – Energie Generation Industrie provides an integrated set of services dedicated to alternative energies and support, mainly to public and private entities, in environmental qualification, using energy recovery.
EGI develops its activity since 2011, responsible for the collection and recovery of Used Food Oils (OAU), as well as for the maintenance of Oils.
At the moment, EGi operates with many City Municipal Offices. Providing community city deposits with Kigreen technology, sensors and real time data collection.
It also provides equipment for the selective collection of UCO at Sonae stores (Modelo and Continente) in the North Zone.
All the collected UCO is used as a substitute for biofuel for diesel (biodiesel) that contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as an alternative to petrochemical diesel.

After 5 years running the solution, we have 14 organizations working with our software. Kigreen is processing more then 30000 tons per year of (used cooking oil)
From Portugal and Spain, they all contributed, given us inputs to develop new features during the 5 years.
We can say that our Kigreen changed for the better the management of the organizations that collect . We've created a standard for collecting .
