According to OCHA, heavy rainfall has affected more than 13,000 households across the Gaza Strip — flooding tents, damaging fragile shelters, and leaving thousands exposed to the cold.

Among those affected were little Layan, Asmahan, and their mother, who also endured the harsh night as rainwater flooded their thin tent.
The girls shivered in the cold as their mother tried desperately to keep them dry, holding them close while the wind shook their only shelter.
