Sami Rodríguez is a chef, event designer and an impeccable host with a flawless sense of style. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he developed a love for the arts at an early age. After college, Sami moved to New York City where his career incorporated fashion, interior, graphic, set design and art curation. In 2002, while working in the art world, he discovered a new love and passion for the culture of cuisine and hospitality. He attended the International Culinary Center, also known as the French Culinary Institute where he trained among award winner and Michelin Star master chefs including Andre Soltner, Jacques Pepin and Jacques Torres, earning a Grande Diplome in Classic Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. In 2004, he relocated to Miami, where his culinary career blossomed working in the kitchen of Chef Douglas Rodriguez at OLA Miami. He has been part of extraordinary projects in the Food & Beverage industry of South Florida, including the opening of the Hotel Victor South Beach in 2004, as well as being Chef de Cuisine of one of Bon Appetit “Best 25 New Restaurants of America of 2005”, Duo Restaurant & Bar from executive Chef María Frumkin. His shift to the event industry started in 2006, when he joined the creative team of Touch Catering in Miami Beach led by Chef Sean Brasel and David Tornek, producing numerous celebrity weddings and renowned events, such as the Super Bowl, Art Basel and the Nasdaq Tennis Tournament, among others. Sami’s unique style, love and passion for the art of celebrations has made him a visionary innovator as he started his own business in 2008. is a Miami based chic boutique event firm dedicated to orchestrate unforgettable moments in people’s lives. As a “curator of joy”, his work is often referred to as art installations, as he brings people together in a harmony of elegant environments, unique ambiances, exquisite farm to table cuisine, flowers, cocktails, cutting edge design, exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail. With over 15 years of experience he has produced fabulous events for local socialites and celebrities, also managing local venues including the multimillion dollar Sea Fair Mega Yacht. In 2012, Sami was nominated “Event Designer of the Year” for the People’s Choice Award by BizBash Magazine.
