IEEE Computer Society - UPRM Chapter

E merged in 1963 to become the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The respective committee and group of the predecessor organizations combined to form the modern IEEE Computer Society. The society's principal volunteer officer has been designated as president since 1971. Now the Computer Society will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2016. The IEEE Computer Society, Chapter of University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus was founded 1994 already serving long years in the UPRM Campus. It is the leading branch in the areas of computer science, computing and technology. We are dedicated to advancing technology, alongside the theory and applications of computers.
