Architecture used to be so grand, so interesting.

Buildings once seemed to reach for meaning as much as for height. They carried ornament, confidence, and a sense that public spaces should inspire awe, not just efficiency. Even a station, a bank, a library could feel like a statement about what a society believed in.

Now so much of it feels interchangeable - clean lines, flat surfaces, glass, repetition. Practical, yes. Sometimes elegant. But often without the pulse that made older architecture feel alive, as if the walls themselves had something to say.

Maybe that is what we miss: not just beauty, but intention. The sense that a building could be more than shelter or function - that it could hold memory, ambition, even a little pride.

Are you coming or going?

Some days, it feels like both.

Like one foot is still in yesterday, while the other is already halfway into whatever comes next.

We move, we decide, we drift, but the direction is not always clear - even to ourselves.

Maybe that’s the trick of being alive: half the time we’re arriving before we know we’ve left, and leaving before we’ve learned how to stay.

So if you feel a little untethered, a little in-between, a little unsure of your own motion - perhaps that is not confusion. Perhaps that is simply the shape of change.
