Alright, heavy heads, riff worshippers & fuzz junkies, one more time before the lights dim for the year…

we’re officially skidding sideways toward the end of 2025, engines redlined, speakers smoking, and pockets full of crushed earplugs.
This here episode of Sunday’s Heavy Tunes is the last sonic care package for the year before I temporarily disappear into a glittering cloud of Christmas lametta, cinnamon, sugar, and slightly unholy holiday indulgence.

But don’t worry, I’m not ghosting the underground. I’m just hitting pause, letting the „amps“ cool down, and dusting myself in festive doom spice.

Before that happens, though, I had to unleash one more slab of freshly brewed heaviness from the global underground — a wild ride through stoner rock, psych fuzz, sludge-drenched doom, desert vibes and cosmic riff rituals.
Straight-up discovery fuel to drag you deeper down the rabbit hole, crank the amps to unsafe levels, and send you face-first into new sonic obsessions.

PALM DESERT — emerging from an eleven-year hibernation with their first full-length in over a decade, ritual doom hallucinations from KRÖWNN, gritty sludge moods courtesy of DENSE HAZE, heavy metal heatwaves from HOT RAM, sky-riding fuzz spells by NEW MEXICAN DOOM CULT and low-end punchlines from the ever-grooving SLOWBOT, plus many more colossal riff-juggernauts, fuzz-soaked behemoths and sonic monoliths crawling out of rehearsal rooms, basements, sweat-drenched clubs and parallel dimensions worldwide.

And yes, before the year finally kicks the bucket:

I won’t deprive you of that. Those records will get their moment in the spotlight before this old year fades to black.
