Combination of a modified high-altitude protection suit and physical exercise may offer therapeutic benefits in autism. Developed by a team of physical therapists and aviation technology experts, the intervention combines wearing a pressure-delivering Neures® suit whilst engaging in a specific set of exercises.

Using a pneumatic system, the suit applies gentle pressure thus stimulating the nervous system through proprioceptive and tactile stimulation, which in turn affects a number of processes at the central nervous system level, including improved blood flow in the cerebral vessels.

In the study published in 2024 - Aggressive and Autoaggressive Behaviors in Patients with ASD in Correlation with Middle Cerebral Artery Flow Velocity - the team demonstrated MCA flow velocity was strongly associated with aggressive and self-harming behaviors in ASD. The intervention normalized the abnormal MCA flow, which was accompanied by significant improvements in social communication and reduced aggressive behaviors.

This paper was a continuation of earlier studies, such as the preliminary report on marked improvements in autism scores, and the more detailed technical paper published in 2020 that described converting the original High Altitude Protection suit into the R‑WUK variant by modifying the pneumatic system, lacing, and donning/dooffing mechanisms to allow for rapid fitting, safe pressure control, and sufficient joint mobility for physiotherapy exercises. The article emphasized that, once adapted, these suits can safely support therapy in patients with neurological, orthopaedic, or psychiatric disorders, while outlining key design constraints and safety considerations for clinical use.

While the team at has so far focused mostly on autism, ADHD and sensorimotor dysfunction, they are in the process of publishing studies on drug‑resistant , depression and multiple sclerosis. A large randomized clinical trial as well as a study on improving tissue hypoperfusion in individuals with ASD by using physiological markers (assessed with NIRS) and metabolic markers (lactate and pyruvate levels) are also planned.

Już jutro na SWPS startuje konferencja HumanTech Summit, poświęcona nowym technologiom w tym wspieranym przez AI. Neures będzie tam wystawcą, a dodatkowo demo naszej terapii Neures zostało wybrane do prezentacji podczas Pitch Evening, gdzie różne startupy zaprezentują swój pomysł na nowe rozwiązania wspierające społeczeństwo.

Relacja z eventu już wkrótce :-)

Hej! Dziś rano, razem z naszymi kombinezonami, gościliśmy w "halo tu Polsat" - porannej telewizji śniadaniowej.

W kilkuminutowym wejściu na żywo dr Krzysztof Kowalczuk i Maciej Abakumow przedstawili założenia leżące u podstaw terapii zaburzeń przepływów krwi z użyciem kombinezonu Neures.

W tle prowadzone były ćwiczenia z wykorzystaniem naszego urządzenia, realizowane przez modelkę oraz naszego fizjoterapeutę, Mariusza Słomę.

Wkrótce dodamy link do nagrania z programu :-)
