Joomla tags removed from articles.

Using: JCE Editor (applicable also for TinyMCE).

I spent a lot of time and I also asked for support from people in order to solve this problem. Nobody was able to help me.

I was able to find a few suggestions which I did without success.

Finally, the problem was that the Editor is removing empty tags, eg:

And that was my case.

Previously I have allowed the scripts, checked the user profiles for the required permissions and etc.

The actual solution in order to stop the tags to be removed is:

Go to JCE Editor -> Editor Profiles -> Choose the profile -> Advance

in the Box of Extended Elements add:
script[*]

The same is applicable for Font Awesome:


in this case, add:
i[*]

More below make sure the Allow Javascript is set to yes and that the user you use have No Filtering.

For TinyMCE, the name is: Extended Valid Elements and should work in the same way.
