In France, since 1931, the Mimosa Festival has been held annually in the city of Mandelieu-la Napoule in the second half of February. The opening of the festival begins at the local church of Notre Dame de Mimosa, then the Mimosa Queen is chosen and the festival begins with fantastic street processions. Numerous processions of wagons decorated with mimosas pass through the streets of the city with music. The program of the holiday includes an exhibition-fair, parades, a costume ball.
