The Americans tried their first Ice Tea at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. the original tea merchant Richard Blehinden suggests that free exploitation of his tea will be secured. But when the heat came on, no one was interested. Withered from the heat, visitors passed by his booth in search of soft drinks. To save time and travel, he threw a piece of ice into the brewed tea and presented the first iced tea. It became a hit at the fair.
