Teresa of Avila was a Spanish nun known for her opinionated approach towards the spiritual life and church reform in the XVI century. Among other things her laxity towards sweeping protestantism movement, caused wrath of the Spanish inquisition. However, due to her popularity she had never been prosecuted and was even canonized in the early XVII century. A true hero to follow and a saint to worship.
