In the animal kingdom, the (literally) brings home the bacon. They do the majority of hunting for their pride, and are usually better hunters than their male counterparts.

The river network reaches its greatest density in the equatorial zone, where the greatest rivers of the world flow - the Amazon, the Congo; in tropical and temperate zones, it is also high, especially in mountainous regions (Alps, Caucasus, Rocky Mountains, and so on).

The density of the river network and the direction of the flow depend on the complex of modern natural conditions, but often, to one degree or another, retain the features of previous geological eras.

Since ancient times, the energy of fast rivers and waterfalls has been widely used in human economic activity as a source of renewable energy for the operation of water mills and hydroelectric turbines.
