Our programming language of the week: C #
Developed around the year 2000 by Anders Hejlsberg was part of the .NET initiative. In the beginning, the team was considering the name "Cool" but it was dropped due to trademark issues. Then the name C # (Pronounced C sharp) was chosen.

At first, it was called "Java clone" thanks to similarities between languages but after C # 2.0 both languages have evolved on increasingly divergent trajectories.

Where you can find C #? For example in Unity3d - majorly successful games engine used by Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft game from Blizzard Entertainment.
