As it is said perception is bigger than reality,but it's not always true, there are numerous misconceptions about the image of Pakistan in the western media, most of the travel advisories discourage their citizens to avoid Pakistan as their travel destination, but in reality what you always hear cannot as someone rightly said " Seeing is believing".
Recently a group of four friends from Italy planed a trip to Pakistan, inspite of all these negative news, they started their trip in this way
Islamabad - Skardu-Hunza - Chitral - Bumburait - Peshawar.
In peshawar I had the opportunity of hosting them as a Guide, at the beginning they were a little scared to explore the city, but once we started the trip they were amazed to see the welcoming gesture of the locals, the smiling faces, the hustle bustle of the markets, the traditional food, this day trip to Peshawar totally changed their perception about peshawar, as being the most dangerous city in Pakistan, close to the border, conservative, hate foreigners.It was all proved wrong.
