A Broad-Based Community Meeting (BBCM) was held today in Village Qala Kerai, UC Butyal, with the active participation of 51 male community members, including 2 persons with disabilities. The meeting was organized to ensure inclusive community engagement and to provide a platform for open discussion on key development issues affecting the village.
During the session, participants were introduced to the objectives of the BBCM, which aims to promote community participation, transparency, and collective decision-making at the grassroots level. The importance of forming representative Community Committees/Self-Help Groups was highlighted to strengthen local governance and ensure that all segments of the community, including vulnerable and marginalized groups, are included in development initiatives.
Special attention was given to the inclusion of persons with disabilities, emphasizing equal participation and access to opportunities. Community members actively shared their concerns, needs, and priorities, contributing to a better understanding of local challenges and potential solutions.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work collaboratively for community development, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and ensure active participation in future project activities.
