I was joined by a team of colleagues who considered the field of journalism as mission. A mission aganst the oppressors and the corrupts. And my colleagues never called newspaper an industry but instead always termed it as an institution . The Frontier Post was the first English daily from Peshawar, a city which was one of the most backward poor area in Pakistan . It was also the first not only E
nglish but any kind of a newspaper of media institution started by a Pakhtoon. The people of Peshawar in general and Pakhtoons in particular considered the launch of The Frontier Post from Peshawar as a great honour . The people of KPK were very happy because they knew that their problems will now be heard and addressed in the corridors of power and decision making authorities. It has been since then that the Pakhtoons have considered The Frontier Post as part of their own culture and tradition. I am indeed very thankful to my readers for that. The Frontier Post gained great popularity right after its launch due to the invasion of Afghanistan by the then USSR. The frontier post due to its policy of truth and honour has gone through several highs and lows, but it has always come out through hard times honourably and respectfully. And indeed this credit goes to my team who have always considered The Frontier Post as one big family. The Afghanistan page of The Frontier Post was added in year 2000 and it has been since then that its readership has become the largest in Afghanistan of any print media organization. Everyday our own vehicles deliver more than twelve thousand copies of The Frontier Post to the different cities of Afghanistan including, Jalalabad, Kabul and kandahar . The Frontier Post has one of the largest readership in Rawanlpindi and Islamabad and it is only due to our fair policy which has given such a high repute to our institution not only nationally but also internationally. The people of Pakistan trust that credibility of The Frontier Post because throughout these twenty six years they have seen that we do not write anything personal against any person or organization. Personal Interests are never a part of our policy and for this reason the launch of The frontier Post from Quetta Since 2002 has proved to be a great success and by the grace of Allah now The Frontier Post is not only the largest English daily of the KPK province but also for the Balochistan Province. The Frontier Post re-started from Lahore on September 25th, 2007 and since then our readership throughout Punjab has increased manifold. I am extremely thankful to my team and our valued readers for supporting and strengthening The Frontier Post. Now in 2010 our Karachi edition of The Frontier Post has begun and i am hopeful of getting a positive response from the people of Sindh . Another milestone in the history of The Frontier Post took place in November 2016, when it started its weekly publication from Washington DC, America.
