Dear self,

I know you still keep going even when it hurts to move forward. You are already at this age and season of your life when you can somehow look back at the battles you thought would break you and the scars you thought you could never carry. You have come so far, yet the road ahead still feels endless. That is why you often feel like a child wandering through the dark and searching for a light that never seems to appear. You walk with trembling steps, unsure of where to go and what to do next, and lost in the middle of uncertainty. Still, you keep going, even when your heart wants to rest. For that, I am proud of you.

I know you often pause and look back. You think of your childhood friends, the ones I used to run and laugh with, your classmates through the years, and the people you once shared dreams with. Many of them have moved forward, building families, finding success in their careers, and living lives that seem so far from where you all began. And here you are, still trying to put yourself back together. You are still praying that someday you will see yourself whole again and fulfill the dreams you have yet to bring to life, even when you have no idea how to.

Nonetheless, I hope you will soon catch a reflection of your genuine smiles again, free from the mask you try cover it with. I hope that you will fulfill your dreams. I hope you will finally get the chance to enjoy life and to be genuinely happy.
