A-S-K was founded in 2008 in Lahore, initially the idea was to provide standardized tele-legal consultancy to the people in the areas of Civil and Criminal Law. The idea of providing legal advice over the phone was a unique concept and it took us a lot of effort to promote it. But once people realized that this was the need of the era, they started to utilize the services of A-S-K. The legal advice provided over the phone was the only option people had and none of the members were allowed to visit our office. All the members had to pay an annual fee for taking unlimited legal advice over the phone. By the start of 2009 the management at A-S-K introduced three major areas of legal consultancy i.e. Labour Law, Banking Law and Constitutional Law. In a matter of 6 months A-S-K introduced legal consultancy in Tax matters as well. In January 2010, A-S-K added more areas of advice, Service Law, Rent Law and Revenue Law. With emergence of more areas of law, people convinced their friends and family to get A-S-K membership too. As the size of members grew, more constructive feedback was received and by the end of 2010 A-S-K included the advisory services in Immigration and Visa Consultancy. By the middle of 2011, A-S-K announced to have set up a Legal Service Centre in Lahore where people could visit the office and hire the services of the legal team. By February 2012 A-S-K appointed lawyers in a number of cities of Punjab who worked on the panel of lawyers of A-S-K. The team of experts worked along A-S-K and developed their own teams practicing in their own specific practice areas of law. At the start of 2013, A-S-K managed to expand its panel of experts in Sindh and Baluchistan. By the end of 2014, A-S-K was set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well. The team is now based in all the major cities of Pakistan. At the start of year 2015 A-S-K started to open more than offices in each city.
