n 2010, after getting fired from my job, I returned to Pakistan with roughly 1.5 million rupees.

I know I’m very bad at savings, but it was the total amount I had after spending 11 premium years of my life in the Middle East.

This story isn’t about bad savings; it’s about the determination to make my own fortune without any major investments, inheritance, or loans.

The 1.5 million I had was spent on setting up an office, paying for a few months of salaries, running my personal kitchen, and buying a modest car.

But as per Allah’s plan, things didn’t go well, and before the end of year 1, my business partnership failed with financial losses, and a major road accident “totaled” the only asset I had, my car.

I restarted everything alone this time, without any money in hand. The reboot was forced to be made from the drawing room of a rented house.

Every day was a financial scrap.

It was impossible to determine where the next payroll would be paid from.

All that was left was my personal determination never to quit.

One month, only a few thousand were left, not enough to pay for my personal kitchen, with payroll to be processed in 2-3 days.

Allah made the funds available as a customer somehow decided to send some advance money.

There were several ups and downs in the business, but we motored on.

In 2023, we have almost 12 different businesses run by half a dozen CEOs.

Some of these companies are generating 7 figure USD annual revenues.

All from a drawing room.

All from a never-ending will to not quit.

All from never accepting to do business through interest-based loans.

All through dedicating a share to Allah’s creations from each business.

All through enabling people to own their own businesses.
