فرسٹ ائیر کی نئی انگلش کتاب پیکٹا نے جاری کردی ہے۔ اس سے پہلے 2 الگ کتابیں: Book-I (15 ابواب)، Book-III (3 ڈرامے + 20 نظمیں) ہوتیں تھیں۔ لیکن اب صرف 1 جامع کتاب ہے۔ جسمیں کل 14 یونٹس ہیں۔ بظاہر سلیبس 50٪ سے بھی کم ہو گیا ہے۔

نئی کتاب میں صرف Short Stories نہیں بلکہ گلوبل وارمنگ، Team Moon اور مصنوعی ذہانت کے اثرات پر خصوصی چیپٹرز شامل کیے گئے ہیں۔

نئی کتاب کو Skills-Based Curriculum اور 21st Century Skills کو ملحوظ خاطر رکھتے ہوۓ تیار کیا گیا ہے۔ مثلاً ہر یونٹ میں Reading & Critical Thinking, Writing Skills, Speaking Skills اور Vocabulary & Grammar پارٹ شامل کیا گیا ہے۔

مختصراً:

Thee New Syllabus merges Book-I and Book-III into a single thematic, skills based curriculum. Classic Poetry is retained but with modern contexts.
