During the first three-quarters of fiscal year 2018-2019 (July-March), Pakistan’s exports to Western European countries have grown by 1.32% and increased to $2.56 billion, whereas the previous year’s exports amounted to $2.52 billion during the same period, hence showing an upwards trend. There were still some declining trends.
Tell me more: For example, exports to Belgium during July-March 2017-2018 amounted to $484.9 million. They declined by 7.4% to $451.43 million during the same period in the current fiscal year. Exports to Germany fell to $969.371 million during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year, compared to $1.02 billion during the same period last year. Even though the United Kingdom remained a major importer of Pakistani goods, exports amounted to $1.318 billion during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year compared to $1.325 billion during the same period of the last fiscal year. Increased exports have been observed for France and the Netherlands.
