Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) established in June 2014, is a Pakistan-based independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit Research, Advocacy, and Public Diplomacy Think and #DoTank. IPDS aims to provide strength to Pakistan’s effective role in global diplomacy through innovative and cutting-edge research, effective advocacy, dialogues series, education modules, consultancy servi
ces, well-built & knitted public diplomacy initiatives, and engagements in the thematic areas of Leadership, Diplomacy, and Peace Studies and Actions. IPDS aims at connecting diverse groups and disciplines including experts, researchers, academicians, non-government organizations from across the globe working with the sole purpose of creating sustainable peace in countries and communities facing traditional and nontraditional security threats. IPDS envisions itself to be a degree-awarding higher education institution. Advisory Board Members:
- Honorable Ms. Zubaida Jalal Khan, is currently Federal Minister for Defence Production, Govt of Pakistan. She has remained as Minister for Women Development, Social Welfare and Special Education of Pakistan and hails from Balochistan.
- Andrey Kortunov is the Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), the President of the New Eurasia Foundation and Information Scholarship Education Center (ISE).
- Eileen Alma is the Director, International Centre for Women’s Leadership at Coady Institute, St. Francis Xavier University in Canada. She has more than 25 years of interdisciplinary experience in program development and management, and international development research and practice.
- Dr. Wang Li, Professor, Department of International Relations, Jilin University China
- Farhana Faruqi-Stocker holds a Masters degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Sussex, UK, with specialisation in Third World Development. She is a development and humanitarian practitioner and has served in strategic leadership positions in international aid sector.
- Dr. Lui Debin, M.A. in History and International Relations, Ph.D. in Political Science, is a Professor of History and International Studies at Jilin University. He is the Chief-Editor of the magazine Collected Papers of History Studies, Vice Chairman of China Association of Modern World History Studies, Standing Member of China National Association of International Studies, Member of the History Teaching Commission of State Ministry of Education. His research fields are: Modern World History; International Relations History and Contemporary International Politics.
- Dr. Victoria Fontan is Head and Associate Professor, Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the United Nations mandated University for Peace, Costa Rica. Her original specialization has been in insurgency studies, focusing on the role of humiliation in relation to the emergence of insurgencies, mostly in a Middle Eastern context.
- Dr. Saira Yamin is a scholar-practitioner with more than twenty years of experience. She specializes in conflict analysis and resolution; women, peace, and security; and South Asia. Presently, she is Professor at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii.
- Dr. Khayala Mammadova obtained her PhD. in Social Philosophy in 2016 from Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences/Khazar University
- Mr. Narciz Bălășoiu is currently Director of the Center for Conflict Prevention and Early Warning, one of the Romanian and regional leading research institutes in the area of international relations and security studies.
- Mr. Peter Gorgievski is a humankind enthusiast devoted to humanitarian progress. He is a global citizen and his greatest passion and focus is creating a culture of peace throughout the world. He is co-founder of Global Dialogue Foundation, Global Shipment and Unity in Diversity.
- Professor Dr. Ghazna Khalid is a Pakistani technocrat, social activist, an internationally acclaimed gynecologist and women’s health expert.
- Professor Dr. Alberto Gomes is the director of Centre for Dialogue and professor of anthropology at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
- Ariel Gonzalez Levaggi is Executive Secretary of the Center for International Affairs at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA)
- Mirsad Miki Jacevic, Mirsad “Miki” Jacevic is a seasoned peacebuilding practitioner, with over 25 years of work on issues of conflict prevention and resolution, Women, Peace and Security, and transitional justice. Vision:
