PROJECT NAME: Hashaam House
LOCATION: Faisal Margalla Hills, Islamabad
PROJECT TYPE: Residential
Designing on a compact 5 Marla footprint challenges an architect to think vertically rather than horizontally. With the Hashaam House, our goal was to break the mold of typical, boxed-in layouts and create a home that feels expansive and connected, even before the finishes are applied.
We moved away from isolated floors by carving out a central atrium that acts as the lungs of the house. As you can see in the site photos, the staircase isn't just a utility it is designed as a sculptural ribbon winding through a volume washed in natural light from the skylight above. This ensures the home feels breathable and unified from the ground floor all the way to the roof.
There is a distinct satisfaction in seeing the digital lines of our architecture translate into physical concrete. The transition from our initial 3D visualization to the current grey structure highlights the importance of construction precision. Seeing the geometric lines standing on-site proves that minimalist design isn't just about the lookāit's about the discipline of the build.
We are excited to move this project from the structural phase into finishing, where these raw textures will come alive.

Haider House in Gulberg Residencia Block I, Islamabad, is a 10 Marla residence showcasing contemporary architecture through a refined material palette. The exterior features a brutalist-inspired faƧade with textured concrete, warm wood-tone cladding, and integrated linear lighting. Deep-set glazing and large-format stoneware provide cross ventilation, solar integration, and thermal efficiency, seamlessly connecting the sculptural exterior to the interior.
The entrance combines textured stone, timber cladding, and layered lighting, leading into a dramatic double-height void that links the ground and first floors. A skylight floods the space with natural light, while sculptural pendant lighting and glass railings accentuate verticality and support cross ventilation.
The lounge features a neutral palette, clean geometry, and recessed lighting to create an open, luxurious atmosphere. The open-plan kitchen and dining area maintain minimalism with dual-tone finishes, recessed ceiling lighting, and functional layouts that enhance natural light and airflow.
The formal drawing room uses floor-to-ceiling glazing, ambient lighting, and subtle textures to balance privacy with elegance. Bedrooms, including the master suite, emphasize natural light, clean lines, tiered ceilings, and custom full-height wardrobes for a streamlined aesthetic.
A floating staircase within the central atrium serves as a sculptural link between social and private spaces, while skylights enhance daylight and natural ventilation. Bathrooms feature floor-to-ceiling porcelain, book-matched marble, floating vanities, and frameless glass partitions, creating a modern, airy feel.
The rooftop integrates solar panels with a dedicated amenity space, offering a sustainable retreat and expansive city views. Haider House combines thoughtful design, premium finishes, and environmental strategies to set a benchmark for modern residential architecture in Islamabad.

The elevation of the 2 Kanal Akram House is defined by clean planes, softened edges, and a balanced play of openness and privacy. Vertical shading elements on the upper floor provide privacy to the bedrooms while introducing a subtle rhythm to the faƧade. In contrast, the ground floor opens fully to the landscape with large glass panels that connect the living spaces to the front lawn, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.
The entry sequence is designed as a calm, grounded moment within the residence. Textured stone, warm timber cladding, and controlled lighting define the transition into the home, setting the tone for the architectural language throughout. The design emphasizes clean lines, balanced masses, and a strong connection to the landscape, reflecting an approach central to our residential work in Islamabad.

House 223 in D-18, Islamabad showcases a striking contrast of materials, with vertical travertine planes set against deep, recessed dark cladding. Bold massing in this one kanal house is balanced by horizontal projections, while tall glazing draws natural light into the double-height interiors. The design emphasizes material restraint, allowing the stoneās tactile quality to define the faƧade, while terraces, integrated planting, and the rear courtyard soften the built edges and connect the home to its surroundings.
