Huawei's nova 9 has made its way to the global stage nearly a month after its announcement in China, as part of the company's in-person event in Vienna. Unfortunately, it is not joined by the larger nova 9 Pro, which is still only available in China.

The Nova 9 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset, 8GB RAM, and 128/256GB storage, as well as a curved 6.57-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 4,300 mAh battery with 66W charging. The primary camera on the back has a 50MP RYYB sensor, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and two 2MP auxiliary modules for macro shots and depth data. On the software front, EMUI 12 runs on top of Android 11 and lacks Google Mobile Services.

The Huawei Nova 9 is available in Black and Starry Blue and costs €499. During the first year, Huawei will replace a broken screen for free. Pre-sales begin later today and include a free pair of FreeBuds 4 earphones, with regular sales beginning later this month.
