As Shamim Usman, aged 65 and a former resident of Nasla Tower, Karachi, is laid to rest; so is the Supreme Court of Pakistan, presiding over the people to afford justice while itself laying dead beneath the shadow of the towering One Constitution Avenue project.

It is shameful for such a terrible double standard to be applied, and for authorities such as the Sindh Building Control Authority and Capital Development Authority - CDA, Islamabad to be able to hoodwink not only the public at large, but also the judiciary which should be the bulwark of justice for the people.
