Why learn linux?

From cloud servers to small devices, from routers to smart cars, from telecom to small robots - almost everything runs on linux.

The most popular operating system today is Linux - youtube runs on linux servers, netflix runs on linux and in fact 96% of the top 1 million websites are run on linux.

We are pushing most of our infrastructure into the cloud today and the cloud data centers and the servers there run on linux. Not just the servers but even routers and switches and other networking equipment runs on linux.

But that is not all - not only do most servers run on linux - even most smart devices and smart cars like tesla runs on flavors of linux. Your android phone’s OS is pretty much linux.

They now need to deploy their own apps on servers and be able to troubleshoot deployment issues - and linux becomes a skill that they just cannot do without.
