Empowering youth through transformative climate education is essential for building resilient and inclusive communities.

It was inspiring to witness a meaningful youth engagement session on Transformative Climate Education conducted by Kheemchand Sindhi with young people from diverse minority and indigenous communities belonging to the diverse areas of Sindh province, Pakistan.
The session highlighted how biodiversity is deeply interconnected with culture, traditions, and our everyday life practices. From local food systems and indigenous knowledge to traditional livelihoods and natural resource management, communities have long protected biodiversity through practices rooted in their cultural heritage.
The discussion encouraged youth to recognize their role as custodians of both cultural and environmental sustainability, while promoting climate awareness, environmental stewardship, and inclusive participation in climate action.
Meaningful engagement of marginalized and indigenous youth is critical in ensuring that climate solutions remain locally grounded, culturally sensitive, and sustainable for future generations.
