• Here is the pith of the first chapter of the Sophie’s Book.
• The Garden of Eden is the first chapter of the book named “Sophie’s World’’ written by Norwegian writer Jostein Gaarder. In this chapter there is the girl, named Sophie Amundsen, who receives mysteries letters, containing the Fundamental Questions: Who are you? Is there life after death? Where did the word come from? where did space come from?
• As she was never encountered by such questions in her life, so she had become curious to know the answers of the aforementioned questions. But the question is who will guide her in finding the answers of these questions. Somehow, she already learnt at school that it is God Who has created the world. She felt relaxed that what she had learnt in school is the most convincing and comprehensible solution to these questions. However, at the same time, she contemplated and posed the question who has created God. Had he created himself from nothing? Is it possible that something can be created from nothing? For her it was impossible to do that. To cut the story short, she was puzzled from the questions the letter contained.
• In order to resolve the questions, she would get admission in Philosophy, and we will learn what philosophers offer her regarding the questions.
• One thing which is the noteworthy is that she has started thinking and asking questions which will lead her in finding the convincing answers of those questions.
In the incoming post I will tell you how to learn it and what is syntax. So stay tuned.
