The Canadian government is working hard to make crypto part of our regular money system. This means more protection for you, but also more rules for the companies you use. Major platforms are now required to join 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗢 (the same group that oversees traditional investment dealers) to ensure your assets are protected.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒔?

You might have heard about 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀. These are digital tokens tied to the value of a currency like the US or Canadian dollar. Canada recently introduced the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁 to make sure these companies actually have the money they say they do.

🔸 𝑊𝑒𝑏3 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑡ℎ: New startups in Toronto and Vancouver are using blockchain to speed up everything from buying a house to tracking food safety.

🔸 𝑁𝑜 "𝑆𝑎𝑓𝑒𝑡𝑦 𝑁𝑒𝑡": Unlike your bank account, crypto deposits are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 covered by the CDIC.
