Congratulations to the winners of our story competition, “Stories of from across the ”!🏔️

We’re proud to award the first prize to Taseer Baig of and the second prize to Tsering Dharkey Gurung of .

Taseer’s winning story, “Living in the mountainous regions of Pakistan,” paints a powerful and poignant portrait of the impact of on a small community, while Tsering’s “Fight for survival” shows us how climate change is disrupting the traditional way of life for a group of herders.

Thank you to all of the talented writers who participated in the competition. Their stories provide a powerful reminder of the urgent need to address climate change, and we hope they will inspire others to take action to protect our planet!

Shandur, the world’s highest Polo ground is located between the border of the Chitral and Ghizer districts of Gilgit Baltistan Northern Pakistan at an altitude of 3700 meters above sea level.

Shandur Top, situated in Gilgit, and called “Roof of the world” is at an elevation of 12,200ft. The version of polo game played here is considered to be the purist of all, called free style polo.

Since 1936, traditional polo festival is being held here and people from all around the world come to watch the matches.
