IFAD Supervision Mission Held Meeting with GBRSP and HBL Microfinance Bank

Gilgit - On June 17, 2026, the IFAD Supervision Mission met with the Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme (GBRSP) to review its progress as an implementing partner for the ETI-GB. The IFAD delegation was led by Ms. Fernanda Thomaz Da Rocha, Country Director IFAD Pakistan. During the meeting, the GBRSP team briefed the Mission on ongoing ETI-GB interventions. The Mission emphasized the need to strengthen the Village Agriculture Cooperatives (VACs) established under the program, stressing long-term sustainability and the consolidation of ETI-GB's impact. The meeting was attended by the CEO, General Manager, and team members of GBRSP, alongside the Deputy Program Coordinator and management team of ETI-GB

The IFAD Supervision Mission, led by Ms. Fernanda Thomaz Da Rocha, Country Director IFAD Pakistan also met with HBL Microfinance Bank Ltd at its regional headquarters to review the progress of Access to Finance Scheme. The Access to Finance Scheme is a flagship intervention of the ETI-GB supported by IFAD, the scheme is designed to provide smallholder rural farmers with easier access to finance. During the meeting, the IFAD Mission reviewed the scheme's progress and praised the collaborative efforts of ETI-GB, GBRSP, and HBL Microfinance Bank. The Mission reiterated its commitment to strengthening the program to expand its outreach to a maximum number of smallholders.
