To acknowledge and appreciate the 100 days national resolve to fight COVID 19, a program was held in city hospital Gilgit. The Chief Minister and Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan graced the occasion with their presence.
The program was held in honour of the frontline warriors battling COVID 19- doctors, paramedics, personnel of law enforcing agencies and officers/staff of district administrations.
Flower bouquets, appreciation certificates and gifts were distributed by the worthy CM and distinguished Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan among the frontliners fighting the deadly disease.
The CM Gilgit Baltistan appreciated the efforts and unconditional services of the frontliners especially doctors and paramedics.The program concluded with prayers for the people who laid down their lives in this battle.
The duties of the stage secretary/anchoring were performed by the EM Sadat Ali Changazi.

Criminal case 247/2020
Facts: The meat inspector Gilgit, Dr. Mushtaq made bazar visits today. He found out a butcher selling meat transported from Danyore. Thereupon he apprehended the butcher and produced him in court of Executive Magistrate 1st class Sadat Ali Changazi.
Trial was conducted and the accused butcher Sher Afzal admitted to the offense he had committed.
Sentence: u/s 188 the butcher was convicted and 3000 fine was imposed. Any default in fine amount will result in 1 week imprisonment.

Criminal case 246/2020
Facts: A female officer of ASF went to buy mutton from a meat shop located at Kalima chowk Gilgit. The butcher gave her half kilo gram meat for 500. When she inquired about the rate list, the butcher refused to comply. Thereupon she launched a written complaint against the butcher in the court of Executive Magistrate 1st Class Sadat Ali Changazi. The trial was conducted and the accused was given full opportunity to defend himself. After the charges were framed the accused admitted to the offense he has committed.
Judgment: The butcher was convicted u/s 3/7 of PPHA and a fine of 3000 was imposed. Any default of fine amount will result in one week imprisonment. The overcharged money shall be returned to the complainant.
Comments: The executive magistrate appreciated the lady officer for fulfilling her civic duty. Timely action by the meat inspector Dr. Mustaq is also commendable.

CONFERENCE WITH TIGER FORCE
Today the Executive Magistrate Gilgit Sadat Ali Changazi chaired a meeting with the members of Tiger Force in Darbar Hall Gilgit, many members showed up for the meeting.
The following points were discussed:
1. Strong communication of the tiger force with district administration.
2. Role of tiger force to implement COVID 19 SOPs.
3. Issuance of identity cards.
4. Identification of suspected patients and their transfer to isolation centres.
5. Importance of self isolation and social distancing.
6. Check on profiteering and hoarding.
7. Identification of violators of SOPs.
9. Timely response to any outbreak.
10. Use of protective equipment
11. Check isolation centres and amenities provided.
12. To work beyond any discriminations and prejudices.
13. Spotting of needy people.
14. Positive contributions to tackle the challenge of COVID 19.
15. Consequences if measures are not taken.
The sub divisional administration Gilgit is very eager to work with the energetic tiger force and want them to become the most effective weapon against COVID 19.
