The project supported under the GLOF II (Glacial Lake Outburst Flood) and supervised by HOLD (Hussaini Organization for Local Development) aims to construct a cemented water channel and link road access from the Karakoram Highway (KKH) via Mulung Vodh to the glacier moraine, significantly benefiting the local community. The cemented water channel will facilitate controlled drainage of excess water from glacial melt. Simultaneously, the construction of a link road will enhance accessibility for local farmers and residents, allowing them better access to their lands. This dual approach not only aims to mitigate disaster risks but also promotes sustainable development by improving agricultural productivity and economic opportunities for the community. The collaboration between GLOF and HOLD underscores a commitment to resilience-building in vulnerable regions affected by climate change.

The successful boring water project of 600 ft underground initiative by Hussaini Organization For Local Development (HOLD) and APEX Hotel-Hussaini has been a remarkable endeavor that is set to resolve the prolonged issues faced by the villagers. This initiative, led by HOLD in collaboration with APEX Hotel, has been a game-changer for the community. The project involved the drilling of 600 ft borehole, ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water for the villagers. Prior to this initiative, the villagers had been grappling with severe water scarcity, leading to numerous health and sanitation challenges. The implementation of this project not only addresses the immediate need for water but also sets the stage for sustainable development within the community. The successful completion of this project stands as a testament to the positive impact that collaborative efforts and community-driven initiatives can have on addressing critical challenge.
