LOOK | The Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 8th Training Day on March 28, 2026, at the CatSU Oval/Multipurpose Hall.
โ
โThe day began with the inspection of ranks, which the cadet officers sets the standard for the entire unit. By maintaining a sharp appearance and composed demeanor, they lead by example, proving that discipline starts at the top. This builds the necessary respect and authority required to manage a large group effectively.
โ
โThe 0700H formations and drill refreshments then translate that discipline into action. These exercises build coordination and teamwork, ensuring the group moves as one. Beyond the physical movement, these routines transform individual students into a unified, reliable team ready for more complex tasks.
โ
โThe afternoon transitioned from movement to technical mastery. Practicing weapons assembly and disassembly developed the focus and dexterity required for equipment maintenance, while first aid and map reading provided essential life-saving and navigational skills.
โ
โThe day concluded with comprehensive exams to test theoretical knowledge and fancy drills to challenge synchronization and creativity. These activities are vital because they transform a basic marching unit into a versatile team, balancing mental sharpness with physical precision to prepare cadets for both administrative and tactical leadership.
