TVI Resource Development Phils., Inc. – Balabag Gold-Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) successfully conducted the 1st Quarter Representative of Host and Neighboring Communities (RHNC) Meeting on May 15, 2026, at Queen Eve’s Reception Hall. The meeting served as a venue to present updates on the implementation of SDMP and infrastructure-related projects, strengthening transparency and collaboration between the company and the host and neighboring communities.
The activity also included a field inspection at Brgy. Pulangbato and a sharing of observations among participants. Through the quarterly RHNC meeting, TVIRD-BGSP continues to strengthen partnerships and promote sustainable community development.

Solar energy has steadily evolved from a niche, experimental technology into a practical component of modern operations. Once regarded as an expensive and idealistic “green” alternative, it is now a reliable energy solution adopted by households and industries alike. What was once considered the future of energy has become a present-day necessity, shaping how we power modern life.

This transition is especially critical in areas where the electricity supply remains unstable or costly. For industries, such uncertainty is more than an inconvenience, often translating into operational delays, downtime, and increased production pressure. In this context, the TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. (TVIRD) Group is advancing its energy resilience strategy through the installation of a 5.3-megawatt-peak (MWp) solar power facility at its Siana Gold Project, which it manages under Greenstone Resource Corporation.

(TVIRD) rolled out 42 Smart TVs to six national high schools in Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, expanding support for public education through digital learning tools under its Social Development and Management Program, allowing teachers to integrate videos, presentations, and interactive materials into lessons while improving student engagement and access to instructional content, with Community Relations Officer Meriam O. Embate saying the initiative enhances class participation and aligns with education priorities, as the company continues to support schools alongside its Balabag Gold-Silver Project operations.
