๐„๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฎ โ€“ ๐‚๐€๐‹๐€๐๐€๐‘๐™๐Ž๐ ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง (EMBR4A) launched its 2025 Environmental Summit on August 12, 2025 at SM City Dasmariรฑas, carrying the theme โ€œEnding Global Plastic Pollution.โ€ The kick-off event featured 12 interactive booths showcasing best practices, fun activities, and games from various industries to inspire collective action against plastic waste.

George Chiung, Assistant Vice President for the Corporate Compliance Group of SM Supermalls, welcomed participants as the mall served as the dayโ€™s host and environmental partner. Forester Girliesina E. Sebarillo, PhD, OIC of the Water Quality Management Section, presented an overview of the activity before OIC Regional Director Robert Angelo M. Metin introduced keynote speaker Forester Januel R. Peras, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) of Cavite.

In his message, PENRO For. Peras stressed that addressing plastic waste is not just an environmental duty but a shared responsibility requiring action from every individual, community, and institution. His remarks inspired attendees to make conscious choices toward a sustainable future.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony opened the exhibition area, where guests visited booths by EMBR4A, Pure Oceans, Inc. Philippines, Universal Robina Corporation, Nutricycle, Inc., PETValue Philippines Corporation, Sentinel Upcycling Technologies, Solid Cement Corporation, Republic Cement & Building Materials, Inc. โ€“ Teresa, Rizal Plant, RFM Corporation, The Orchard Golf & Country Club, and JUNKnot. Each booth offered interactive displays, games, and prize-winning activities.

Forester Corazon C. Gasapos, Chief of the Environmental Monitoring and Enforcement Division, discussed the status of RA 9003 and RA 11898 implementation in CALABARZON, followed by presentations of best practices from the exhibitors. The kick-off event was closed by OIC of Environmental Monitoring Division, Ms. Ruby Sarmiento, marking a strong start to the summitโ€™s campaign for a plastic-free future.

This event aims to raise awareness on environmental sustainability and promote the concept of circular fashion. We challenge you to create stunning outfits or gowns using plastic waste materials to highlight the importance of recycling, repurposing, and reducing waste.

**๐—˜๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜†:**
Open to all environment-loving Filipino fashionistas residing in the CALABARZON Region, ages 18 and above. Open to individuals or teams of 2-3 members from schools, industries, and local government units (LGUs). One member must model the attire.

**๐—˜๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€:**
- Create an 'avant-garde' fashion attire using at least 80% recyclable materials/plastic waste.
- Submit three full-body photos (front, back, side) of the model wearing the attire and three work-in-progress photos showing materials used, and fastening methods.
- Like, follow, and share content from the EMBR4A page.
- Fill out the Google form with accurate information.
